Like in January, The Happiest Place on Earth isn’t too busy in the month of February either.
If you’re looking for light crowds and short lines at pretty much all the rides and attractions, February is another great time to visit Disneyland. The madness that is the holiday season at the park is long over with and the Spring Break crowds have yet to arrive, making way for a much less crowded Disneyland Resort. There’s some dates you may want to try to avoid, though.
Dates To Avoid
Super Bowl Sunday – Nope, Disneyland isn’t empty on Super Bowl Sunday. It’s actually busier than a normal, non-holiday Sunday this time of the year.
Presidents Day weekend – Disneyland is expected to be packed throughout Presidents Day weekend. Avoid going on that Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
United Spirit Association All Stars weekend – Disneyland gets invaded by a bunch of obnoxious, screaming cheerleaders on this weekend. No, seriously. There’s a huge cheerleader competition in town, so the resort gets crowded. This year (2011), it takes place on the weekend after President’s Day, so avoid it if you can.
The competition takes place every year at the Anaheim Convention Center. The weekend it’s scheduled on can vary from year to year, so be sure to check out the convention center’s events page for the dates.

Went the day BEFORE the President’s Day Weekend (Thursday), and it was packed–definitely NOT a “Ghost Town.” Very disappointed, as my wife and I went on Valentine’s Day two years ago and it was a Ghost Town. Went Thursday instead of Friday, Valentine’s Day, because Friday is attached to the weekend. Well, this year, so was Thursday. Will never do that again. Will get no closer to a holiday weekend than Wednesday. The crowd calendar seriously needs another look.
