Like in much of March, April is typically another busy month at the Disneyland Resort. By April 1st, the Spring Break season is well underway and the crowds are out on all days of the week.
A crowded Disneyland this time of the year has more to do with the schools in the area than it does the nice, sunny weather. Spring Break varies from district to district, so many schools are out at different times of the month.
The Disneyland Resort anticipates Spring Break crowds in all of April, with a full entertainment schedule and midnight park closing for the entire month. Simply put, Disneyland is busy in April. If you must go, here’s some of the dates you may want to try to avoid.
Dates To Avoid
Week Before Easter – Lots of schools are off during this week and the park is usually packed, so stay away on the days before Easter.
Easter Weekend – Disneyland is typically very crowded on the Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend.
Week After Easter – More schools get their Spring Break holiday after Easter, so try to avoid going this week. If you can, hold off until early May when the Spring Break season will be over with, making way for much lighter crowds and short lines.

I planned to be at Disneyland April 24, 25,26. When I checked months ago, it should “Ghost Town” on the 25th and 26th, now it says “Hey, it’s okay”. What changed?
I think it has to do with the SoCal Resident ticket making days that are usually “Ghost Town” a little busier this year. There also might be some schools still on Spring Break that week.
