How It Works
Instead of trying to to rate various crowd levels on a scale of 1 to 10, we use a simple color-coded system with four different stages.

Yes, the first couple weeks of December usually aren’t too packed (hopefully around 30min waits). Weekends and closer to Christmas is when it gets more crazy.
I’m thinking about going Christmas Day (yikes) and paying for the VIP tour. Will that help with getting in and doing all the fun stuff before the average ticketholder? Or will I be paying for VIP for nothing because its JUST crowded?
VIP Tour at Disneyland? I’ve never tried it before, but I think it should be helpful on that day since it’s expected to be very busy. You’ll get to skip the lines and have reserved seating for all the shows instead of having to fight the crowds.
Hi, for visiting Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving, which day would you suggest from Nov 23rd to Nov 26th? Will the weekend really be better than the Mon/Tues of that week? Thanks!
It’s expected to be very busy that week, but I think Sunday might actually be a little more manageable. SoCal Select APs are blocked on Sunday, while all APs are valid on Monday-Wednesday. Last year, it started getting more crazy on Monday since many people take the week off.
Hi, We are wanting to visit Disneyland on Sunday Dec 28th. The tracker is saying forget about it…we are coming from Australia and this is the only day available to us. We don’t neccesarily want to do the rides we just want to experience Disneyland. Will we be walking around shoulder to shoulder or do you think we will be ok? Thanks
It will be very crowded, but I think you’ll still be able to experience Disneyland okay. It can get shoulder to shoulder in some areas of the park though. I would definitely get there early (at park opening if possible), as it tends to get busier around noon. If you also want to get on a ride or two, the morning is the best time to do it. The lines can stretch to 75-90min later in the day.
Does anyone know if the week after Thanksgiving will be crowded. Are the kids back in school? We are thinking of going on Wednesday december 3rd.
Planning on going to both parks at a Disneyland Nov 21st and Nov 22nd. Not planning on doing rides for small children, just me and my boyfriend. Can you tell me what To expect for lines and attendance?
Yes, the kids are back in school that week. I don’t think it will be too packed. The first two weeks of December are usually more manageable. The big holiday crowds start arriving on the week before Christmas.
