Same thing happened one year the day after Thanksgiving. It is miserable when it is that packed and you are lucky to get on maybe three rides the whole day.
These 24 hour events are simply impractical. The only reason they do it is for the publicity of promoting the summer season. The entire resort (traffic, parking, and the parks themselves) were never intended to handle this many people. There is no upside to going during the 24hr event.
I have to agree. Just wait until Saturday or after Memorial Day. When you have to wait hours just to get inside the park, it’s just not worth it.
Everyone please stay away! The line to enter Disneyland goes all the way to the back of Downtown Disney and it’s not moving.
The line is actually getting shorter, a lot of people are leaving the park

My husband planned for us to go early Friday morning to kick off the celebration. We had a perfect time. We left just as the lines to enter the parks intersected one another. Unbelievable crowds mid afternoon. Glad we went when we did. Perfect!
Disneyland is not even that crowded right now and they are still not letting anyone in!

This is truly bizarre. We are inside Disneyland and it’s practically empty, yet they are still not letting anyone else inside. I have friends waiting in line trying to get in, haha. What is going on?
