Crowd Guide

  1. It’s usually manageable on those days since the Halloween season is over.

  2. Why has Disneyland been so crowded lately? Are the crowds expected to go down?

  3. October is always busy for Halloween Time, but I think the 60th Anniversary is making it even more crowded this year. Crowds are usually manageable again on the first week of November.

  4. Just a heads up for people thinking of going next year for Oct 30th. I went yesterday, which was a Friday, and it was horrible! It was packed, 90 minute wait for Mansion ride, 65-120 minute for Space Mountain and Splash Mountain! It was already at 88% packed at 10:00am!!! and everyone kept coming. It was also really hot which only made it worse. Fast Passes ran out at 5pm for Mansion ride and it was just a chaotic mess yesterday. I couldn’t even take pictures because it was so hard to enjoy anything. If you are thinking of going next year for Oct 30th, which will be a Saturday, it was be horrible. Also, I’ll be honest, I didn’t really think they decorated that much for Halloween. Besides the big Pumpkin in the front, Mansion, and a couple pumpkins throughout, I didn’t get a very Halloween experience. If you want to go next year for Halloween, I would highly suggest getting Tickets to the Mickey’s Party. It includes parking, but it is also less crowed because only a certain number of tickets are sold.

  5. I would advise anyone thinking about using this crowd guide to know that (I am pretty sure) they are guessing. I used the guide to plan my trip and if their idea of a ghost town is 90 plus minute waits for the top few rides and around an hour for any of the top 10 rides then I guess Disneyland is a ghost town. Employees are telling me there is more crowd then on July 4. Forget about the place. The only good ride with almost no line is Grizzly River Run, at 70 degrees people are afraid of getting wet. It doesn’t help when a park manager tells me “Many rides are running at reduced capacity because we thought it would be quiet” The place is nucked busy and even though the Nov 4 projection is Ghost Town, I am sure it will be Yup its packed.

  6. Is Disneyland usually packed on Veteran’s Day?

  7. Yes, it’s usually fairly crowded on that day. Get there early!

  8. How is December 5th? Line estimate>

  9. I’d be prepared for it to be crowded (around 60min waits) on that day. The holiday season crowds are usually out on the weekends in December. Get there early!

  10. Disney is never good to go. I’ve decided it’s overcrowded all the time they need to regulate the crowds. When you wait in line for two hours and if your lucky ride 4 rides in 8 hours. It s a rip off.
