were planning on visitng the park on January 30-31 does it usually slow down this time of the season after the holidays?
Yes, it’s not very crowded around that time, especially on weekdays. That Saturday should be manageable, but Sunday is expected to be a little busy.

30 min just to get through security. Totally crowded. 30 more minutes to buy a ticket. The whole crowd tracker thing is incorrect.
It’s not even worth it by the time we get into the park to wait in more lines.
The new security screenings are a disaster. The line always takes forever now and goes all the way to Downtown Disney. They need to figure out how to speed that process up.
I agree, the bag check line is now such a pain to deal with in the morning. The lines just to get inside the park are ridiculous.
I know that this site is for people who hate crowds/long lines, but c’mon, really? That line is for the security of everyone who enters the parks. I’m glad that Disney has finally taken the bag check more seriously. It’s really no big deal.
Trying to plan our next Disney trip for 2017. We want to go for our sons birthday January 8th. Is that time of the year a good time to go? will crowds be gone by then?
Why is the park busy on Sunday, January 31st? Is there something special going on in the parks that day?
Some of the holiday season crowds might still be around on that day, but I don’t think it will be too bad. It usually starts to be more manageable on the first week of January as schools go back in session.
