You are absolutely right. I adore Disneyland but lately it has not been worth the thousands of dollars we spend to go. And unfortunately people will keep going so as long as Disneyland doesn’t see a drop in revenue, they wont be correcting the problems
The reason why October is so crowded is because so many schools in California are on Fall break! My niece just had her Fall break so they spent the week at Disneyland last week. The neighborhood school is on fall break right now & the kids don’t go back to school until 10/24. All these schools that are starting in July & early August are giving the kids October Fall breaks and that is why it’s so busy now
The closer to Halloween the more crowded it gets. People want to see the Halloween decorations before they are gone

According to the disneyland app the crowds are nowhere near as bad as last week.

I believe schools in Utah are on fall break at the end of this week, starting on Thursday. Arizona schools had their fall break all last week.

No, unfortunately they don’t add new dates for the Party. It sells out every year.
