Crowd Guide

  1. Go at rope drop – not as crowded then, and stay late, again not as crowded. from 10 or 11am to 9 pm or 10 pm, it seems very crowded. I was there this past Tuesday and even the afternoon and evening rain did not clear the park much and it was extremely crowded, though after the first parade it was ok. Go to DCA during the most crowded time since it has wider walk ways. the stores can be a refuge from the crowds in the afternoons and there are attractions like It’s Tough to be Bug and the Lincoln one that always seem empty that you can head to for some relief also. I have been to the parks 3 times for 4 days each visit since early January and everyday it has been really busy – but they have had something ‘special” going on during every visit – Christmas, AP days and Food and Wine so you may hit a sweet spot in late April

  2. At DL for my birthday this week. It is HORRENDOUS; worst I’ve seen, and I’ve been to DL several dozen times. They’re letting in WAY too many people. We’ve been on 2 rides in 2 days. The lines are awful, over the top, it’s shoulder to shoulder walking through the park. Won’t be back until they stop giving out 1/2 price tickets to So Cal residents. People in lines and walking around all complaining, “I spend $120 and haven’t gotten on a single ride,” “I’m not coming back,” etc.

  3. There are some schools out by june 4th already . Personally I would go when pass holders are blocked those always seem the better days for us. It probably won’t matter June is going to be monster packed.

  4. Agree they let in WAY too many people. They need to lower the maximum number of attendees from 50,000 (I think this is where it stands now, not sure).

  5. Disneyland has been DISGUSTINGLY CROWDED the almost 1 year I’ve had my pass, can’t wait for it to be over I’m NOT RENEWING NOT WORTH IT ($146/m) it’s unenjoyable when you can’t get on anything because of the long lines maybe 1-3 rides after being in the park for hours. ?? There was very VERY FEW times when the park was nice & chill with SPACE TO WALK.

  6. trust me sweet heart there is lots of research you CAN do! the park is always busy… yes i know i’m an AP i’m always there 😉 as much as i hate people i know how to work my way around them…

  7. I don’t want to get in argument here. been AP for many years to as have 300,000 other people ..

  8. They have been doing this for years. Prior years it’s been buy one park, get one free. Just soooo many more people go now. New attractions, etc keep em coming.

  9. If they significantly reduced the number of people they let in (which as a business they’d never do, they want as many people paying to get in the park as possible) and if it’s really crowded enough to test the 50,000 person limit Disneyland would become some sort of exclusive club where everyone would have to go earlier than they already do just to wait in a line and worry about getting into a park where your wait times would only be marginally shorter.
I think crowds are just something Disneyland-goers are going to have to deal with…
