Surprisingly not very crowded in early August. Schools are still in session and the annual passes are still blocked out, so it’s a good time to go.

For a less crowded Disneyland, go on a Saturday since annual passes are blocked out.

September is the best time to go (after the summer season), it’s hardly ever crowded on weekdays. If you must go in the summer, go after the Grad Nite events end in the middle of June.

Went to both parks just a few days ago. I was surprised how many younger kids were there when school hasn’t even let out! It was also so busy that the wait time for Space Mountain was 2 hours. My mom didn’t want to go on it because of that. Matterhorn was like 60 minutes or more.
The wait for Star Tours was an acceptable 40 minutes or so…

I felt sort of cheated that some major attractions were closed… such as: Indiana Jones Adventure in DL, and Tower of Terror in DCA (because it will become a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ theme attraction and the end of May.)

If more than two major attractions are closed, guests should receive a 10% discount on admission. Seriously. It seems that guests are penalized for visiting in the off-season.
